I design hands-on learning experiences that help elementary students think deeply, solve problems, and make things. I have worked in education since 2000 as a classroom teacher, enrichment educator, instructional coach, mentor teacher, staff developer, private tutor, and college professor. My work centers on STEAM, project-based learning, educational technology, and creating meaningful ways for students to engage.
Elementary Enrichment & Dimensions Teacher
I helped bring an elementary STREAM program to Maker Faire Hudson Valley 2023, where visitors could test their engineering skills with familiar tools. The project reflected STREAM’s integration of Science, Technology, Research, Engineering, Art, and Math.
I helped develop a project-based elementary program where students think deeply while solving problems. Lessons included ecology and a timed bridge-building challenge using Keva blocks and blue foam.
